#CRSFM has successfully completed a six week Sector Based Work Academy for SIA Security & Safeguarding within West Cumbria.
Over the six weeks candidates from West Cumbria took part in a variety of training courses, on-site experience and up-skilling designed to prepare them for front-line security operations within supported accommodation schemes. Upon completion of the SBWA CRSFM offered four candidates full time employment. They will join an existing team of Security & Safeguarding Officers.
The programme is operated and funded by the Copeland Community Fund and Cumberland Council along with several supporting partners; Inspira, Phoenix Enterprise Centre, Lakes College, Pro-Tect Training and Better Bodies UK.
Company Director, Gavin Henry – “Our second Sector Based Work Academy has been a huge success with four local candidates being offered full time employment. We initially planned to fill three roles and due further contract awards we were able to create a fourth position. I am delighted that the SBWA and it’s supporting partners were able to create a course specifically for SIA Security & Safeguarding. This enhanced the overall experience and ability of new front-line operatives entering the security industry”.
